Overview
This course is appropriate for both the newcomer and the more experienced practitioner of acupuncture. The presenter will give a physiological explanation of acupuncture and why it works for pain management. The relationship between neuropathology and acupuncture will be covered as well. He will also explain the terms ‘Qi’ and ‘May’ according to the Hung Di New Jing. The theory of Distal Needling Acupuncture℠ (DNA℠) as well as its pros and cons will be given. DNA point prescriptions for pains in the upper body (headaches, facial pain, neck pain, upper and middle back pain, wrist and hand pain and groin pain) will be covered. The treatment of acute vs. chronic pain as well as well as herbal formulas will be covered.
