The Office – Pulses Proximal To Left Chi:

  • Represents Chinese kidney (endocrine system) and lower back/ knees
  • If Mustard-seed pulse is in the center of left chi: soft tissue damage in the knee
  • If Mustard-seed pulse is on the proximal to the center of the chi: damage to the foot
  • If Mustard-seed pulse is distal to the center of the chi: soft tissue damage in the hip
  • If Mustard-seed pulses are pounding: active pain (acute inflammation)
  • If Mustard-seed pulses are quiet/ no large amplitude: old injury/ surgical scar
  • Proximal to the left chi:
  • Lower back -pain: middle-deep, thin (Du pulse) – can extend into the legs
  • Damage in the spine/ scoliosis: extremely thin Du pulse
  • (In women) Endometriosis: deep, extremely thin pulse (Ren pulse
  • Ren pulses:
  • PCOS: Tiny mustard seeds along the Ren pulse
  • Cysts/ fibroids: just one or two mustard seeds
  • If not pounding, then the cyst/fibroid is just present, but not inflamed/ likely to burst
  • Can also be indicative of : abortion scars/ hysterectomy scars/ tubal ligation scars/ scars caused by a uterine device
  • Hysterectomy: Dead fish/ scattered pulse (severe blood stasis/ large amount of scar-tissue)
  • Scoliosis/ damage to the spine of the lower spine: extremely thin proximal pulse (Ren or Du pulse)
  • Kidney stone: tiny mustard-seed (aka pentip) pulse in the chi or mustard seed(s) proximal up the arm
  • this could also be indicative of abortion scars, miscarriage, herniation or varicoceles
